i just installed a new cpu, motherboard, and 8gb ram and the computer wouldn't boot up. So i hooked up the original parts and tried to install the drivers for the new motheboard. I turned off the computer and put the new parts in again. Nothing worked so I plugged the original parts in and i got a black screen with a blinking white line in the top left corner. I also ran a diagnostic and it gave me an error code on the hdd that said BIOHD 3. Any ideas of how to fix this? Please respond quickly!

BIOHD-3 error means that there were no bootable drives detected.
Did you new hard disc come with a preparation tool on a CD? If not , you can download it at the hard disk manufacturer's website
Which brand is the hard disk?

Any more information that you can think of (Is this a HP computer ??)

the hdd isnt new (sorry for missleading title ), just the motherboard, cpu, and ram so there is no preperation tool. It is an hp computer. Also, I heard that hdds from hp only work with hp motherboards, is this true? edit: The black screen has been saying "loading operating system" nothing happens after that.
