No startup menu after System fix removal...

Hi,

after installing Kaspersky pure in my computer, I got rid of the System fix virus

but all the missing files or links, I'm looking for the answer.


I did the uhhide from this forum and claimes back my desktop icons, but my startup menu still shows empty files,

I cant seem my microsoft office and others

If any sort of temp file cleaner or program such as 'disk cleanup' was ran the shortcut references to the start menu were deleted.

open up a windows explorer (NOT internet explorer) window, if you have a computer icon on the desktop double clicking that that would be an easy way to open it - in the box at the top (or address bar) type in "%temp%" and enter if you see a smtmp folder you are in good shape (just download and run unhide again) - if not you will be recreating the shortcuts manually or uninstalling and reinstalling programs.

post back with what you find.

No smtmp folder... bleep :angry:
