When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

My laptop has been restarting randomly for months (I've only had it about 6). I don't think that it's windows doing it to update, I would get a message from windows right?

THe restarts are pretty infrequent (once every couple of weeks), and the only trigger that I can manage to find involves me charging it. If I unplug it and plug it back in it will sometimes happen ten minutes later, but not all the time; like i said it is an infrequent problem.

It doesn't bother me too much in its current state, but I don't want it to get worse or turn into a bigger problem. I have contracted Win7 antivirus virus (removed) and a tdss redirect wirus that came along with it (in the process of removing).

thanks for any help

1) Go to System Properties - Advanced - Startup & Recovery Settings and uncheck "automatically restart"

2) The fact that you apparently have malware on your system is almost certainly directly related to your problem. I suggest you post in the Am I Infected forum on this site.
