When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

If you have not received help after three days, please post a link to your topic HERE.

Hello guys, and happy holidays. I know you are all busy with your families so I will be brief and wait for my turn..

Okay, I have a similar problem like Mantidor who had posted about a redirect virus. I tried to get rid of it (Spybot, and several virus scans), but now I do not have internet. I also tried to rstore the computer to an earlier time but it says " it cannot restore because the disk needs checking" I checked the disk but sais the same thing again.

Now when looking at your solution to mantidor, I went to win32 drivers etc but could not find a afd file at all. Perhaps its better because my problem could be different and I may screw things up even more.

Anyway, please tell me what to do when you have time. Should I download the stuff he did and go through the same steps and post the logs?

Anyway, thanks again and health to you and your families!

PS: Since I dont have internet, I am not sure how to run a scan or download a utility for this computer to be scanned. Hpowever i do have a laptop that still picks up the wireless internet from the "bad" computer (!!), so that works.

Please download Farbar Service Scanner

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/farbar/FSS.exe

and run it on the computer with the issue.

* Press "Scan".
* It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
* Please copy and paste the log to your reply.
