I recently ran Malware Bytes Anti-Malware and appeared to remove a virus, but I can only run programs in administrator, if I don't run the programs in administrator it tells me: "Choose the program you want to use to open this file."
I have Windows 7 32 Bit.
Some of my start up items on my side bar are missing as well (Logitech Set Point for example), and many others. This has to do with registry values I'm assuming? How do I fix this?
Thank you for any help.

Some malware infections target .exe files and alter associations. Without repairing the file association, .exe files will lose functionality and you may be unable to run any programs. exe_fix_w7.zip is used to repair file associations in Windows 7 altered by malware.

I have this same problem and would love to know how you fixed it. I used that link...and it seemed to "do its thing". But I still can't open up explorer or itunes or any other program on my desktop. Is there another step I might need to do?
Any advice is appreciated.
