Hi all,

Just got some questions with regards to 2-step verification, specifically Google's Gmail.

Apologies if these seem dumb. I've tried to search myself but either I can't find the answer or the answer comes from yahoo answers/random message boards which neither have been very reliable for me in the past (love this site though, always got great answers here :)).

Anyway, the questions:

1) Google says I should be safe from hackers even if someone gets my password, I wonder, how true is this? Say someone grabs my password.. what are the chances they'll crack the 2SV and get in? i.e. manging to brute force a backup code or something. Obviously the one sent to my phone wouldn't work after so much time.
2) If I change my PW every, say, 2 weeks (resetting backup codes too) and use 2SV, would I ever really have to worry about being hacked? Short of them getting into my recovery e-mail and doing that. But considering the account's recovery question and answer are unrelated, and both in different languages, I don't see that happening.

I swear I had more but I can't remember them. I guess we'll start with these.

Thanks. :)
