When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

DDS broken? Doesn't run properly

I believe I have malware and I'm following the steps as described, but when I double-click and run DDS.scr I get a bunch of non comprehensible characters and one line that This program can not be run in DOS mode.

Try to post this log...

Download OTL to your Desktop.

Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
Under the Custom Scan box paste this in:
Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows: OTL.txt and Extras.txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post them back here.
