Hello JOR and welcome to BC.
To stop a program running at startup go to Start>Run and type in msconfig. Look under the Startup tab for the program and remove the checkmark and reboot. According to our Startup Database (see the top of this page) this program is "Installed with the software for Logitech products. Automatically checks for software upgrades AND new products, services and special offerings from Logitech".
This from Logitech: QUOTE If you want to remove this feature, simply remove "Logitech Desktop Messenger" from Add/Remove programs in the control panel. See the Logitech Product Support Index. -------------------- **** We use our powers for good, not evil **** When the only tool you own is a hammer, every problem begins to resemble a nail.
