Hello there.

After my computer had been infected with XP Security 2012, I used the guide on this website to remove it. The computer seems clear, but now the Internet does not work. I have received help in the Am I Infected Forum, and I put the missing files back where they were. The Internet still did not work, and a FSS scan reveals that the "Local host is blocked." I think that the computer could still be infected by a virus of some kind. I would appreciate receiving help.

Here is the DDS log

The DDS attach log and the GMER log are attached. I have to mention that from what I saw the GMER scan caused a BSOD. I can't remember the specifics, but it had something to do with DRIVER NOT LESS EQUAL (something along those lines). The BSOD happened when I click the arrow next to the Rootkit/Malware tab on GMER and clicked on Processes, so I think I indirectly caused it to happen somehow.

Thank you very much in advance!

Good evening. :)

Please download Farbar Service Scanner and run it on the computer with the issue.
  • Make sure "Include All Files" option remains checked.
  • Press "Scan".
  • It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
  • Please copy and paste the log to your reply.

Helpers are limited in the number of logs they can take by the time they have available and having threads sit idle means that somebody else who could be being helped has to wait.
Given the time that your original reply took and that you haven't replied for four days now and I have no idea when you will, this thread is now closed.

When you are able to free up some time to work on your PC problem, feel free to start a fresh thread and somebody will be along as soon as to help.
