That would have been my mistake.
My first Computer had a Whopping 16K of memory @ 0.89MHz
My first hard drive held 20 Megabytes and never got filled up.

Look in the Bios for a section called CPU feature or Hardware monitor or PC Health Status I have attached a screenshot of what it most likely looks like and the drive section.

Look where it says drive A and try setting that to none if you are still getting the floppy error.

In the CPU feature or Hardware monitor or PC Health Status screen what is showing for temperature settings and what CPU do you have.

Hi,
What is the shutdown temperature set at in the bios? It should be in the same section where you saw the CPU temperatures.
Right after it shuts down can you check temperatures too?
Is the power cord a tight fit, Does it feel loose where it plugs into the Power supply?it may be time to open it again and right after it shuts off feel all the heatsinks, CPU, any located on the motherboard, If using a video card does it have a fan or heatsink on it and does that feel hot?

It does sound like it could be a thermal event shutting it down. Is it one second it seems OK and the next it is off?

When it has been running for a while does anything feel hot. See if the top of the case feels hot for example. Does the Power supply feel hot. If they feel OK, then You could also try as a test and not a permanent fix setting a small fan blowing into the case for extra cooling and see what happens.

Well the shut down temp says it should be 85 C/ 185F

It does not get that hot it just goes to 30 C. I have never felt it to be warm. Hummmm

NO it shuts down it seems after an hour or two not constantly. However the other day I was doing something and it shut down. Weird. The power cord is on tight.

Thanks

Merry Christmas.

How about the power supply, video card are they running hot? Does you motherboard have a chipset fan and is is the chipset running how?

One other possibility. Visit www.badcaps.net and look on the right side where they have examples of bad capacitors. Do you see anything like that on your motherboard or video card?

Okay all fans are working. I am not sure where a video card would be or even what it looks like. How do I check or see that on my Motherboard? Any help would be great on how to spot it.
