How do I create VBScript in Office 2007? Where is the spiral ribbon?

I don't have Microsoft Office myself, but my memory was that there's a shortcut to the VBA interface by pressing Alt + F11.
In terms of the GUI, I recall finding the button to access it in Excel but not in Word. Of course that might be very outdated information, but it may help.
