When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

I was working online when a "virus detected" pop-up apperaed. It said my computer was infected with a worm and it needed to be removed. At that point every program I tried to open was greeted with the same message. I ran a full scan with my Avira antivirus but it didn't detect this virus. When I tried to open a browser window to locate a removal tool for this problem, that to wss hijacked. Fortunately, I still had my old XP desktop available and searched for an answer. I was directed to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-vista-security-2012. There I found the answer to how to remove this virus and I am now virus free again.
