Just joined BPC. Not sure where to begin or place my post? please excuse me if wrong.
Just would like to know how long should I keep MailWareBytes logs before deleting some of them. I have them well over a year old...Thanks allowing me to participate in BC forums..I hope I don`t ask too many questions,,I have a lot to learn ...Thanks...

Well...what is the point of keeping the logs, from your perspective?

If the intent is to provide some sort of reference in the event of a problem...outdated information is of little value to anyone trying to assess whatever might currently be amiss with a system. That is why anyone requesting a log of any type, be it malware or otherwise...asks for current logs.

I have no expertise of any sort when dealing with malware...but I cannot see any value in outdated data when attempting to troubleshoot current issues...with the possible exception of someone attempting to troubleshoot system issues which result in BSODs/STOP errors. In that instance, a history is more likely to reveal a pattern that can possibly be traced to reveal the onset of system problems. But...these logs are not related to existing malware issues per se.

If you have malware issues, I would think that current data is of greater value than any logs which relate to prior system conditions.

Thanks Louis, Explained like that,,I see no reason to keep them either. As far as I know, my pc is spyware and or mail-ware free. Guess the preference to save them was a setting at install...Thank you for your reply...
