I applied the registry fix. The DisplayName and description are now correct. I think everything might be fine now. Also, I am able to "Change Action Center Settings" and select which security messages appear to warn me if something is not right with my security.

Should I proceed to load my anti-virus software, which is Webroot Antivirus with Spysweeper? I am a little afraid to do so because last time I did, the computer would lock up. Then I would have to go into Safe Mode and uninstall Webroot. Then everything would return to normal. Do you think that problem is fixed now?

Whew, ok, so far so good. The install did not go smoothly, but I think I'm good now. :bike:

After I installed Webroot Antivirus with Spysweeper (version 7), it popped up a balloon in the notification area saying it was updating itself, but then it opened up an Internet Explorer window that said I could get the newest version 8 Webroot SecureAnywhere for free. That is something it did NOT do 2 weeks ago.

I went ahead and installed SecureAnywhere, but then it looked like I had BOTH installed at the same time. I tried to remove version 7 from Programs and Features, but it refused to do it. So then I decided to use Webroot's special removal tool, WRUpdatetool. It seemed to process everything successfully, then I restarted. Only the newest version is currently installed and everything looks good in the Action Center. :smilers:

That brings up a quick question though: Network Access Protection is turned "off" is that ok? What is that for?
