Hello everyone, first time posting. I have a unique problem. Two computers in the house. Hardwired to router/modem. XP Pro upstairs / Home edition downstairs. Both EI8. When I access the county clerks office online downstairs no problem. Upstairs the page loads but unable to do anything further. Turned off popup blockers, reinstalled EI8, turned off antivirus / antispyware to no avail. Any ideas?????????????????

Edit: Moved topic from Introductions to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Have you tried clearing cache or junk files and using a different browser? Firefox, Chrome or Opera?

Try booting to safemode with networking. What kind of antispyware other than your antivirus are installed?

Please explain this more plainly as in any errors or details.

Deleted all antivirus and spyware. Just installed AVG12 Full Security.

Follow this link to the Collin County Clerks office: http://www.co.collin.tx.us/county_clerk/index.jsp

See if it works for you. Click on "online services". Scroll down to Property & Taxes, click on "Deed Search"
and then on "Document Type". Upstairs on my computer nothing else happens. Downstairs on my wife's computer the page completes loading. I am able to set the date parameters, click on vitals which opens another box the allows me to check "assumed name certificates". I can actually view the complete list of assumed name certificates for the parameters given and even bring up a copy of each query. None of this works upstairs. Really stumped. Any ideas????

Is it this part of the site, result? First time query for results on IE9 was a prompt or alert to Allow pop-up blocker once as my choice.

Is it loading/waiting for result?

Your results is exactly what I get downstairs but not upstairs. It is like the page does not finish loading. By the way, no improvement in safemode with networking.

Already tried them, no differance. But I do have a success story. I uninstalled IE7 & 8. With IE6 the website fully loaded and worked as it should. I then installed the updates as they became available. Now I am back at IE8 and it works great. Mission accomplished. Thanks for all of your input.

I've seen a lot on threads doing this downgrading to IE 6 to 7 having trouble on the version 8. Atleast you did something that may help others in the future. Thanks for posting back. :thumbup2:
