Hello. I have recently been experiencing an issue with my MacBook Pro. Every time I try to login to any email address (yahoo, gmail) or social website, such as facebook and twitter, I receive a message that states that "The connection was interrupted" using Firefox. When I try to access these websites with the Safari web browser I have the same issue and it says "Safari can't open the page." This problem only happens when I try to login to a website. I am able to gain access to any other website other than these. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If it's happening with both the browsers it may be due to your internet connection.

Turn off Parental Controls if it is enabled.

I have figured out that I am not able to access any secure websites (https). I am, however, able to access every other website.

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem and make it possible for me to access the secure websites? Thank you for your time.

Go into Firefox and disable you add on's,, then try...
Run the mac utility to fix permissions or start up from the cd and fix them.

No IE for Mac forget that.

Did you empty the CACHE in both FFox and Safari?

What have you tried to fix this any special down loads, blocker, virus software??????/
