What model eMachine?
Please post the exact content of the screen...I don't recall ever seeing a Mac address on a boot screen, but I don't pay attention to the boot screen
.
Can you enter the BIOS? Is your time/date data correct? Boot options?

Hi -
Have you done the basic LAN check in Internet Explorer ??
Tools > Internet Options > Connections (Along Top) > LAN Settings > Only have the Top box ticked (Automatically Detect Settings)
Uncheck any other boxes - OK > OK .
If this is set then you have a connection to a Mac IP address ????
