Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me how to stop the annoying pop up that appears everytime I connect an external pen drive or hard drive to my system asking me what i would like to do , open it, play files etc etc. If I connect an external drive I just wnat to go to 'my pc' and open it, i don't need windows to keep asking me what I want to do. If its possible I want a blanket solution for everytime I connect any external drive....
XP 32 SP3
Thanks for your time in reading

hi you just need to edit/stop auto play for the device ,i think it will work ,go to mycomuter , right click on the drive icon for the device and choose auto play and you can select what if any action you want for each type of file ,i think this will then stop the device from causing the popup when you put the device in ,
