itunes error insufficient privileges to modify file

Gringo helped me with major virus a few months ago. Since then I haven't been able to update / remove / reinstall itunes. It says "installer has insufficient privileges to modify file". I downloaded REVO to uninstall, didn't work. I tried to run as administrator... same message. Pls help.
