cloud 2012 virus virus removal
#1

Recently, I got this cloud 2012 virus from the yahoo home page. It downloaded itself into one of my computers. It is the same routine as any extortion virus, and I am getting tired of paying $100 each time I have to remove one of these. Is there a way to get this out myself? The cost of removal is adding up. Is there some equipment I can buy to remove this myself? I have spent $400 in the past 2 months on this and don't want to stop using the internet entirely, but it seems I get these from random sources. Please email me at [removed to protect from spambots] and please mention this forum in the title. This is frustrating as hell.

It would not let me even access pictures. Are there any agencies that go after these scams? If someone pays, and I did not (I had to take it to a specialist) can that account be tracked for litigation? These scams are so popular these days, I am considering dropping the internet altogether. None of my other friends get these problems, and they browse the internet and play on Facebook all day long. Is there anything I can do to block these things?

Did you try to follow the removal guide? Your reply does not indicate that you did so.
You need to go to a working computer, print out the removal instructions which start about 1/4 of the way down the screen.
Then go to the sick computer and follow the instructions. The first one is to boot into Safe Mode with Networking.
Are you able to boot into Safe Mode with Networking?

Okay, so you're unable to follow the removal guide because you are unable to boot into Safe Mode.
Are you able to boot into Normal Mode?

I was, able to boot in normal mode, but could not access the internet and was locked out of all functions. Had a friend look at it and he also could not boot into safe mode or get past the lockouts. I am now looking for the software the people use who professionally clear out these viruses. I am severely limiting my use of the internet, for fear of going through this yet again. Despite my situation, all of my friends who use the internet are ditching safer methods of communication and are moving to Facebook, and none of them are having these issues. None of them are getting these viruses. I am also investing in Macavee anti-virus, but am told these things go right past it. Is this true?

Since you are posting here, I can presume you have access to another computer. The programs in the following instructions can be downloaded to removable media on the working computer then transferred to the sick computer. The log files can in turn be saved to that media and transferred to the working computer to post them.
Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.
Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.
If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.
