Helping a friend with a ASUS K501 laptop running Windows 7 home with serious malware issues and infections. Cleaned multiple system multiple times using free version of MalwareBytes and appeared clean and running good. Installed all critical Microsoft updates then uninstalled expired version of TrendMicro Security. System was still running great at this time but wanted to put some additional protection back on for her. Installed Microsoft Security Essentials, updated and ran a full scan. After finding two infections required a reboot for final removal. After the reboot the laptop would only come back to a black screen. Any attempt to repair or roll back to a previous date fails. Booting into any Safe mode presents the message STOP: c0000135 The program can’t start because %hs is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I have the text dump ready to post after executing Fabar Recovery Scan Tool. Thank you in advance for any help!!!
