I recently installed a Netgear WNR2000 Wireless N Router for one of my clients. Everything seemed to be going well. Today I talked to him and he told me whenever he restarts his computer or his iphone leaves and comes back he has to restart the wireless on the router or he can't see network. After he restarts the wireless on the router it shows up and works fine until he restarts. Is this the router just being a bad router and needs replaced or am I missing something?

What do you mean cannot access? Can he not connect? Or can he not see the network at all? Check the routers logs see if they have any usefull info in them also check to make sure all of his settings correct.

I mean that whenever he restarts his PC or leaves and comes back home with his iPhone that he no longer connects to the internet because the devices do not see the network. This is only solved by restarting the wireless on the router.
Also all his settings are correct.
Also all his settings are correct.

Do you see any options from the setup home network for the wireless adapter connection to automatically connect when this router is in range? This is usually found on the created home network SSID, password, access point - connection tab.
