They aren't supposed to look pretty since they are Business models. I'll take durability over pretty every time.
Thinkpads come with a lot of security features both in hardware an software.
The other feature I like with a Thinkpad is the Lenovo warranty network, if needed here in the USA they have a lot of locations.
Dell you want to add OnSite service for any warranty needed. ASUS can be slow for warranty AFAIK. I had to warranty a couple of HPs, sort of slow there too.
