How to Arrange Your Desktop items into a Specific Order

Guide Overview

This guide will explain how to arrange the desktop items into a formation that best suits you.

Instructions
  1. Minimise all programs so that the desktop is shown.
  2. Right click in an empty space on the desktop.
  3. Hover the mouse over "Arrange Icons By"
  4. A list will appear to the left, which will contain either:
    • Name <-- arranges the icons into alphabetical order
    • Size <-- organizes the icons in order of size
    • Type <-- arranges the icons by their file type
    • Modified <-- organizes the icons in order of when they were last modified.
  5. Simply click on the arrangement you would like to use, and adaptions to your desktop will be made accordingly.

Once you have them arranged the way you like them, download and install an ap named "Restore Desktop" which when installed will allow you to restore the exact position of the icons should they get changed, e, if you change the resolution, etc, or if some miscreant uses your computer and messes them up.
