BleepingComputer.com: FTP through another computer/tunnel?

Hello all,

I need to FTP to a server from home that is only accessible from within the building. I was wondering if there was a way to use something like Hamachi and install it at home and on a computer inside the building to allow me access to the network there? or maybe I can setup some type of tunneling software? I have never done anything like this before, I usually remote in to a computer but am tired of doing it that way and uploading files back and forth.

You could setup SSH/SCP on the server and access files remotely that way (WinSCP is great for this). What OS is the server running?

It might be theoretically possible to bridge the gap between the server and the client using a third computer, but it's probably more hassle than it's worth. A direction connection would be better.

Where I work, we can connect to the domain using a VPN, then map network drives at will. Not sure if a similar thing is setup at your workplace or can be, but this is definitely something you should ask your support staff about.
