How much space for partition of xp sp3 ?

Hi all.

I am running win 7 sp1 on my system and i want to install a xp sp3 on it too.

I am making a partition for installing xp pro sp3 and i want to know how much free space does it need for installation ?

It can be as small as 2 GB. I give it 3 but I keep my paging file and portable or portable like programs on separate partitions. I also don't use system restore. Make enough room for whatever programs you are going to install and then some.

My standard partition size for XP is 20GB, while I allow about 50GB for Win 7.

I keep all my programs and a few other files on my Windows partition, but keep videos, music, etc. on other partitions.

Installing XP after Win 7 is a somewhat inconvenient process, if you are not using different hard drives...or maybe even if you are using different drives (I've not installed XP after Win 7). In any case, you probably ought to look at one or two webpages about such.
