Hi mj2000 -

Just right click on a vacant area of the screen and on my Toshiba laptop I click on Resolution, then lift the bar to the highest setting =xxxx X xxx (Reccomended) -
Yours may not be exactly the same (depends on screen size etc), but just use this function to check if you are at your best Resolution setting -

Regards -

EDIT - Quote from reviewers -
the laptop's 15.4-inch wide-screen display can be configured with a sharp 1,440x900 or even sharper 1,920x1,200 native resolution -
See which one suits yours better -

Wenn i open some programs or games,

Then it must only be those programs / games. Is it only these same programs always ??
I have a similar problem with only 2 programs / games, a pool game and a pokie machine game, and they can not be played on full screen.
All other programs / games are full screen !!

Regards -
EDIT - My XP works on 1280 X 1024 which is a wider setting - Must be Windows7 settings -

Might be Display setting - Aspect Ratio Options for your Video chipset turning to full screen(no border). Check Screen Resolution (right-click on desktop).
