I am going to build a computer in January and I was wondering if there was a power source that is able to store a charge so if the power goes out it gives you some time to save what you are doing and shut down. Thanks in advance.

Yes, they do exist. It is called an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

This is the one I have. It was a real bargain:

The problem with internal one is that the power supply that comes with it, isn't that good.
