I have tried to connect my Dell Optiplex 745 to the internet via a ethernet cable (the one I use for my main computer).
Nothing seems to happen. I have tried setting up an internet connection and everything but I just can't seem to get it to recognize that I plugged it in.

When plugging it in an orange light comes on and stay illuminated, and a green light flashes. On my main computer (which works for ethernet) a gren light stays on and no orange light shows up.

This is not a separate card either, it is the on-board mobo port.
