Award software Inc Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive . . is a bios flash is required ???

Hi friends ,
Whenever i start by pc i get this error
Award BootbLock Bios v1.0. Copyright 2000, Award Software Inc. Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive...

But if i start it again after few minutes it work properly
i have google it and as per many forums iTs a faulty bios due to which it try to read from it from hard disk and they advise to flash the BIOS, but is it really required or there is something else which i should try before flashing the bios

SYSTEM SPECIFICATION:
OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional
MOTHER BOARD Gigabyte 945GCMX-S2
PROCESSOR :CORE 2DUO
RAM: 2GB

Have you thought about changing the battery for the CMOS?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

In this possible and if yes than how to revert it
