BleepingComputer.com: High jacked by get-answers-fast

I've been getting hammered over the last couple weeks with redirects, and trojans. I've tried to clean my system but nothing seems to be working permanently, it goes away for a few days then something new pops up. Today I had the get-answers-fast redirect browser highjack. I ended up running combofix just as an act of desperation because I couldn't even get off google, and it seemed to work. Any help would be amazing.

Skip the GMER step and instead post the ComboFix log you have.

So I'll post it here: Contrary to what is loosely implied in that thread, the "get-answers-fast" redirect problem is not unique to Firefox or its malicious add-ons. It also occur in IE8, as I have discovered the hard way.

Okey doke, thankee very much, and good luck with what I'm sure will be a flood of threads about this quickly proliferating redirect issue. I suspect late October 2011 will be remembered as the Era of The Annoying Get-Answsers-Fast Redirect Plague.

The reason it was locked is explained in the last post.
