I want to connect my PC to my TV. I have an old TV so the only way i can connect it is thru composites. I have one VGA port which i will plug a cord into which will split into a S-Video (which i dont have on my TV) and a composite (which is what i will be using) So i was just wondering how do i find out if my video card will even let me use TV-out. I have Windows XP SP3, Video Card is: Intel® 82865G Graphics Controller
Thanks!

OK Thanks
But when i followed the directions from the second link you gave me, i got to the part where i can choose between a monitor or a tv. And i cant switch from my monitor. There is no TV option for me, but according to the first link you gave me i should have TV-out ability. So why cant i switch to TV?

I can't asnwer that...never ran my system through TV (inferior resolution).

If the troubleshooting guide doesn't help you, I don't know what to suggest.

Have you connected the vga to s video on both the computer to tv? There are other threads that might give you an idea. http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/290353-How-to-connect-VGA-port-on-laptop-to-Svideo-port-on-tv

OK, so I decided that I want to connect my laptop and not my desktop. So my laptop doesnt have TV-out capability so i was wondering if this: http://www.amazon.com/Videosecu-Converter-Computer-Composite-Switcher/dp/B000X3FAJU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1319854387&sr=8-2
is what i need to have tv-out to connect my laptop to tv?

Well its just to watch videos like on Netflix, cause my TV is way bigger than my monitor, and the converter is only $20, so its not that big of a deal if the quality is bad
