I have a client who's employee has hijacked his internet connection thru Outlook Express, when he try's to send/receive emails it knock's out his internet? I fixed his internet connection as it relates to surfing the web, it was hijacked as well. But, now he can't use Outlook Express to send/receive email. Anyone familiar with this trick/problem?? Help!

Are they using dial up?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

A shot in the dark here: Carefully check all settings in OE. Make sure there have been no very subtle or not so subtle changes to the settings.

Check everything-spelling, punctuation, spacing, etc.

If all else fails, it might be worth a try to delete the account in OE and re-create it. IF THIS IS DONE, BACK UP MAIL IN OE FIRST. IF NOT BACKED UP IT WILL BE LOST. Also back up the address book.

Check your internet settings in IE as outlook your default email in Internet options, Programs and set IE as your default browser.
