This means that you computer does not have any bluetooth capability built in. The easiest fix is to invest in a 'bluetooth dongle' that fits in one of your USB ports. They can range anywhere from 5 USD to about 25 USD depending on range of operation and quality of device.

The manual says quotes a "Dell TrueMobile 300 integrated bluetooth capability", so I would assume that the drivers for such are not properly installed or damaged.

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&ServiceTag=&SystemID=LAT_PNT_PM_D400&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid= , there's a driver listed under Communications that you should need to install.

Thanks for the clarification hamluis. I should have checked the specs on the hardware.

No problem...I have more time to look things like that up than you do, one of the benefits of not being nearly as busy as you are :).
