HI, I have been looking for drivers for a BROTHER 4100 PRINTER,but so far have found them.
I went OEM but for some unknown reason could not find them there,so into bleeping computers
and tried to a search and ending up getting nothing but reference to viruis, trojan, malware
which i thought was really strange since i asked for drivers only, thanks

Hi -
Do you have the old install CD / floppy that came with the printer ?

If you do, the best option is unplug the printer > Delete it from the Printers area > Reconnect and do a reinstall of the printer.

The printer needs to be removed physically (unplugged) from the computer and in setup, completely, then reinstalled.
Your computer will then see it as New Hardware and you can do the reinstall.

Make sure you uninstall the priner drivers through add/remove programs as Noknojon suggests.
An uninstall tool and the drivers are here
Plug the printer in when prompted to do so.
In the beginning there was the command line.
