I have a system with Vista Home 64 bit. About 2 weeks ago a problem occured that shuts down IE9 anytime I try to print something. I retored advanced setting and reset the defaults. I also ran windows updates, bot no help. I then decided to uninstall IE9. At that point I was left with IE7, which I believe was the original version. IE 7 printed fine. I then tried to reinstall IE 9 and it won't install. It starts the installation procedure and then after a certain point I get an "Update Failed" error message. I tried this numerous times. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Try installing IE 9 in Safe Mode.
If you hold down the F8 key while rebooting, you end up with a choice where you can boot in Safe Mode with Networking. That will allow you internet access for downloading IE 9.
Safe Mode with Networking helped me get rid of a nasty hijack last week.
Worth a try.

Thanks. I got IE9 back but still can't print anything from it. I went back to IE8 and everything works great. Not sure why IE9 won't print, but suspect a conflict.
