<<Asus P5Q SE2
Seagate Barracuda and Maxtor Diamondmax, both 80GB, both SATA
Pulled from working pre-built PCs so I'm assuming the OS is OEM for each
Both are using Windows XP Home Premium Service Pack 3 (32 bit)
I have a repair disc for the Maxtor OS, and it should work on the Seagate OS>>
Taking a hard drive from System A...and inserting it into System B...is a crap-shoot that liekly won't work. To make it simple...the drivers and settings for one motherboard...are not normally transferable to a different board. These drivers and settings...are what allows Windows to function properly with the system hardware. This is a design feature of Windows XP and any more recent version of Windows.
