Hello Bleeping community,
Today I found myself with a rather tough problem on my laptop. It seems to have gone through a windows update and thus restart itself. After the restart I have been unable to launch internet explorer, firefox, or google chrome on the machine. I'm also unable to launch my anti-virus or malwarebyte to scan it (I have tested all these things to no avail in safe mode as well). It seems like other things still work on the laptop such as games (online games still check for updates and download them), images still open, and I can still open and read through text documents. Until this point I don't recall any infected alerts from avast nor any unusual behavior from the machine. It should be noted that it seems like the computer is booting faster (as if some necessary programs might not be loading after restart) and that I have attempted a system restore to a few days back and nothing seems to be working.
In task master under the processes tab I have the following (I guess it should be noted I'm on a Toshiba Satellite running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit):
explorer.exe
TCrdMain.exe
SetPoint.exe
dwm.exe
SynTPEnh.exe
KHALMNPR.exe
TPwrMain.exe
RAVCpl64.exe
TosSENotify.exe
taskmgr.exe (well yeah)
TPCHWMsg.exe
Teco.exe
taskhost.exe
winlogon.exe
TosNcCore.exe
TosReelTimeMonitor.exe
wuauclt.exe (it might be wuaudlt.exe very hard for me to tell)
rundll32.exe
taskhost.exe
TCrdKBB.exe (This one I'm not sure about)
SynTPHelper.exe
SmoothView.exe
ThpSrv.exe
csrss.exe
Thanks in advance for any possible insight to this issue.

Hello,
I have spotted your new topic. I presume you have access to a working computer since you are posting on the forum. You can use the working computer to download the files to a flash drive or disc, then transfer the programs to the sick computer. Once the logs are created, you can save them to the flash drive then post them using the working computer.

Nothing internet or anti-virust/malware/spyware will launch on the laptop, I also noticed Adobe isn't working on the laptop now either. If it helps, I had some of these things saved on the laptop under different names (Tools 1, 2, and so on). None of those will install either and the results are the same be it in safe mode, connected or not connected to the internet. I'm out of ideas on my side on just how to proceed from this point.

Hello,
Given that, please await a response from the malware removal team. Now that you have posted a topic here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic423417.html you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a MRT Team member, nor should you ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.
From this point on the MRT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.
Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the MRT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the MRT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another MRT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.
Please be patient. It may take several days to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible. I advise checking your topic once a day for responses as the e-mail notification system is unreliable.
If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.
To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. Good luck with your log.
