Hi,

according to the logs you have Norton Security Suite running, which would qualify as a On Access Scanner and could definitely be at the root of the issue. Have you removed this in the past? If so, how did you uninstall it?

That has been there as a "free trial offer" for [x] months since i got this laptop. I never activated it, so it shouldn't be running. I just get the alert that I am able to start it at any time if I should want to. Let me try removing it.

Hi,

if you remove it, please use the removal tool provided by norton. It can not be uninstalled correctly through Add/Remove:
Please click HERE and follow the instructions in STEP 3 to download and run the norton removal tool.

Crap, I had actually just uninstalled during Add/Remove. Let me try using the removal tool and see if that does anything (removing through add/remove didn't help)

Edit:Okay I ran the removal tool and am still experiencing these problems :x

I'm still under the warrantee for my laptop, so I will most likely send it to a depot to have them look at it, as I'm fairly certain it's a video card issue triggered by god knows what. Box wont get here for a couple of days though, so I'm willing to keep trying things until then.
