Hello Unknown reasons for my excessive internet bandwidth use

First time to visit this forum. I am having problems with my internet threshold being used up too quickly. Not doing any downloads on purpose, but almost use 300nb per day. Wondering if some other programs could be using the download capacity. Thanks for your help.
