Hey everybody!

I have some data on my work computer (Microsoft XP SP3 with Windows Office Suite 07') that I would like to edit or at least view on my personal computer (Ubuntu 11.04)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have heard of Scribus. Is this an alternative to publisher? and is it compatible? I installed it once and only briefly checked it out, I am not familiar with it at all.
