I downloaded and ran the Windows Update fix you recommended, but the program is still giving me an error code, 80096001. I am happy to manually download and install the updates, but I wanted to wait and see if you thought that was a good idea before I try to do that.

As for your False positive on the Java Cache It may just be a anoyance. You have the No Scrispt enable so unless you go to some unknown or untrusted site I do not this its dangerous.

I tried most of these fixes, but I confess that some of them only half-worked (I'd do a few steps and then something would not respond the way the post said it should). I'm a bit out of my depth when it has me installing and uninstalling certificates, etc. -- is there any way to uninstall and re-install the Windows Update software instead?
