BleepingComputer.com: Combofix issue

Hi, i just downloaded combofix, and i am familiar with this software,

but, in this particular computer, combofix quarentined a lot of my files, it move them into c:\qoobox\quarantine\c\games\CoD\CoD.exe.vir and so on.


so i abort the process,

i wonder if there are any combofix command line, to avoid this behavior,

or to know why combofix move my file into quarantine?

ill apreciate any information

Unfortunately the author of the tool does not want information on how Combofix works on public forums. This is in order to safeguard and protect the integrity of the tool from malware writers. As such, the developer does not want his tool discussed outside of private forums and therefore we cannot answer specific questions. That's the decision by the creator and we will abide by that decision.

ok, i understand what you say


but i only want to tell the creator of combofix,
that this software is deleting my files, righteous files without virus, like a .txt file, or .jpg

i know how to repare this damage.

i only want this issue analysed, and fixed, to improve combofix performance

but i dont know how to contact the author

or if is this the right place to make this post
