When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

When I am remotely connected to my employer's network on my laptop (via VPN), I get the pop-ups with all the scare tactics and warnings of being infected with a virus and told that I need to purchase the Advanced PC Shield 2012. I have not done so. My laptop is fine when operated stand alone, it is only when I connect to the company server. I talked with the Administrator at work, he tells me that no one else has the problem, therefore it is my computer.

I have run the Norton full system scan and the additional scan option "if you feel you are still infected". Both came back clean. I also ran the Micorosoft scan for spyware/malware and it came back clean. They recommended that I present my problem to you and see what you think, whether I should go ahead and run a malware removal anyway, but that I should do it assisted. They said if I run it and still have it when I connect, then it has to be my employer's problem. It doesn't make sense though, if that is the case, why I am the only one experiencing it...and the Administrator doesn't seem to be interested in doing anything about it under those circumstances. So then what?

My operating system is Windows XP w/SP3.
