BleepingComputer.com: Error Message when installing MBAM

Hello all,

Trying to install Malwarebytes onto a friends computer and I'm receiving this error message.

CoCreateInstance failed; code 0x800401154. Class not Registered.

Another strange thing that is happening is that I cannot start any programs from the desktop (i.e Skype, itunes), but word, pdf, jpegs are all ok and will load fine.

Any help I can get is most appreciated, if there is any other details I need to provide just let me know.

I have not seen that error with Malwarebytes before. You may want to report it to the Malwarebytes Support Team, ask in the Support Forums or E-mail the Malwarebytes Support Help Desk so the development team can investigate.

There is a way to find out which class, but it's technical. How good are you at using ProcMon?
