Wow! thank you for the details here (again).
I did not know that the operating system (in of itself) had anything to do with protection from virus's, etc.
In deleting everything, that seemed to go fine.
When doing updates from Microsoft - I get the same error that I have always gotten for years;
Updates could not install;
Microsoft Office Access Runtime and Data Connectivity 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Is this important?
Redirect at browser, cannot system restore, Navcancl log error and more Reload Operating System, or fix??

Hi Brad,
Here is some information that I found about that service pack.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957262
For more help I suggest you visit the BleepingComputer.com> Software> Business Applications Forum. Be sure to explain you were infected with Zero Access Rootkit but are now clean and provide a link to this topic.
You might also let them know that the problem existed prior to becoming infected.
Anything else?

•Access Runtime and Data Connectivity 2007 SP2 will not update the original version of Microsoft Office Access 2007 Runtime. This version has the build number 12.0.4518.1049. If you have that build, and you want it to be updated to the SP2 level, uninstall that build, and then install Access Runtime and Data Connectivity 2007 SP2.

I will look into the Service Pack thing, and keep my education going on all of this.
As long as this took, and as frustrated as I might have been, you really helped me during through this issue. Cant thank you enough.
