Hello All

Well, I guess I should get right too it.
I caught what i believe to be a rootkit which disabled my malwarebytes and startup programs on the spot, first thing I did was run TDSSKiller to remove it. While It did show the actual rootkit and said I had to restart in order remove it, it didnt happen. So I booted in safemode ran Rkill to stop improper programs from running, and then ran combofix, and seemingly the rootkit is gone, along with some malware after i was able to run malwarebytes.

But heres my current problem, I run into computer hiccups and slowdown when running programs offline as if sumthing in the background is running. I've ran malwarebytes thoroughly along with TDSSKiller and they have found nothing, all the while the problem persists. So as I tried to think of ways around this problem i thought defragmenting would help, but It seems chkdsk is scheduled to run on the drive so i couldnt, BUT as i check the scheduled tasks there is no chkdsk on schedule. The computer is an old dell, and while it doesnt have alotta bells and whistles and the CD Drive no longer works, its precious to me along with the files on it.

Thanx in advanced for any help provided.

MalwareBytes is not an anti virus app. Did you also scan with your AV? And if you think your system may still be infected you should post in the Am I Infected forum.

Since you ran ComboFix, Please follow the instructions in ==>Malware Removal and Log Section Preparation Guide<==.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include the link to this topic in your new topic and a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

Once you have created the new topic, please reply back here with a link to the new topic.

Most importantly please be patient till you get a reply to your topic.

Please post your Combofix Log, you may run the other ones if you want.
