Computer Freeze Computer freezes, then thaws after double clicking the "x"

My computer freezes up. Then if the task manager is opened, and the red "x" is clicked twice, it thaws out. I don't have to stop any processes, just close the task manager. Also, I was unable to do a system restore. I am using a current copy of WebRoot. I think that a 4lb. hammer will work, but maybe someone has an idea.

Welcome to BC!
I suggest your posting about this problem as a start in the forum for your version of Windows, since very few helpers check the Introduction forum for problems. When you could not do a system restore, did you get any error messages?
Save your hammer for fixing the roof; I am sure our Members can help you.
