When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hello,

For the past few days I've had trouble with the internet. I'll either type in websites, or click on links and it will not load. I will have to hit "stop" and "reload" several times before it works. I'm concerned about the security of my computer. I've tried running virus scans and malware scans but nothing's come up.
Please advise me on what do do, I'd appreciate it very much!

Thanks,
Anthony

It's Firefox. I tried Internet Explorer which was the same speed as usual, but it's a lot slower than Firefox was before the problem started, which is why I don't use it.

If you're using Firefox 3.x, close Firefox. Go Start>All Programs>Mozilla Firefox, click on Mozilla Firefox (safe mode).
If you're using Firefox 4, or higher go Help>Restart Firefox with Add-ons Disabled.
Same issue?

Yes, I'm still having the same issue with Add-ons disabled.

Create new profile and see if same issue happens.

It's "normal" when I created the new profile...does this mean I lose all of my bookmarks/saved passwords/etc?

Your data from current profile is safe.

I guess I worded it wrong. Is there anyway to "fix" whatever is wrong with the original profile so I can continue to use it, instead of having to use the new one I just created?

We won't know if this is a profile issue until you create a new one and see how it goes there.

I did create the new profile, and it is normal. Things are much faster, and pages are loading properly.

Very good :)

Here is how to move all your data from old profile to a new profile: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
...or you can use Mozbackup: http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/

I just opened up the new profile, and my data was already in the profile, and it's behaving as the old one did (slow, not loading)

It didn't have any data on it before and it was fine, but when I ran MozBackup it caused it to be slow again.
