Hi there
I have a Toshiba laptop and the touchpad worked fine until I loaded Vista SP1. Now the scroll function on the touchpad doesn't work. I have uninstalled and reloaded the driver, downloaded a new driver and installed and done this over and over (Synaptics driver) and it won't work. Any help would be appreciated very much.
Thanks so much

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.
Out of curiosity, what operating system was on the laptop before Vista, I am sure you will say XP, but I want to be sure and was the previous operating system pre-installed on this laptop?
If the questions I am asking do not make sense, what I am trying to figure out here is if the previous operating system had a driver installed from a special operating system disk made for your Toshiba laptop.
Sometimes when we upgrade those systems, the upgrade may not contain the driver packages the previous OS installation disk contained.
Bruce.

Please take notice. Oreo and I will not be available until June of 2012.
Thank you for understanding my absence, it is job and college related, so all is good. If I do not answer your PMs this is the reason why. See you all soon!

Hi there
Thanks for the reply. My laptop was pre-loaded with Vista and I updated to SP1. The machine is a Toshiba Satelite Pro A200. It was all working fine and then suddenly not.
All the best
